150 Year Old Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

1 c. Sugar
3/4 c. Lard
3 Egg yolks
2 c. Flour
2 c. Oatmeal; old fashioned
1/2 c. Raisins; chopped
1/2 c. Walnuts; chopped
Disolve In 1/2 C. Water:
- 1 tsp. Soda
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 3 Egg whites; well beaten

Instructions

Mix ingredients, add the egg whites last. This is a very stiff mixture - but do not moisten. Drop with tsp. 2 inches apart. Bake in moderate oven.---Barb
